WILL COACHING BE COVERED BY INSURANCE?
Insurance companies are beginning to cover nutritional counseling under preventive care, but some plans are still limited to Medical Nutrition Therapy for certain diagnoses only. Please contact your insurance company to verify your coverage for CPT codes 97802 and 97803. Additionally it is advised to ask about co-pays, deductibles, prior-authorization, and number of visits allowed.
DO I NEED A REFERRAL?
It is recommended to obtain a referral for nutritional counseling for verification of diagnosis. As RDs we are not allowed to bill for your condition without an eligible diagnosis provided by a physician. Referrals or scripts may be faxed to us at 610-421-4303 or uploaded into the document section of your Healthie chart.
DO YOU HAVE REGULAR HOURS?
General hours are listed on Google, but we try to accommodate the needs of our clients the best that we can. Each of our team members availability varies from week to week and we will work with you to find the best time for your schedule. Please also see our cancellation policy for appointment changes.
CAN I CUSTOMIZE MY PACKAGE?
Our 6-month package is designed to guide you toward self-growth. We have additional a la carte options that you may add onto the package. Please note, that if using insurance, your plan will only cover visits, and not the additional features of the package or many of the a la carte options.
DO YOU WORK WITH CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS?
EMPOWER works with adolescents aged 13 and up, in areas such as disordered eating, body dysmorphia, GI intolerance, and sports nutrition. Our team does not specialize in pediatrics (ages 0-12) and we would love to refer you to our trusted colleagues who do.
