Reflecting Through the Lens

“You can only grow if you are willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable when you try something new.” – Brian Tracy

There are times we must break out of our comfort zone. Bodies and brains are designed for survival, for comfort, and for moving away from that fixed mindset. It is definitely hard work, but worth the effort.

Self-confidence is part of the three keys to the EMPOWER wellness approach. Finding body confidence through photography can serve as both inspiration and a reminder to love who you are. While self-growth is encouraged, part of that growth mindset is understanding you transcend that appearance.

Challenge yourself to recognize and celebrate all your body has done and all it can do. A therapeutic reflection through the lens is part of our whole-body positive experience and will help develop a loving relationship with yourself. It is also a reminder that no matter the shape, your body is a true work of art. You will leave with the feeling of being mentally, physically, and spiritually whole.

Body imperfections are natural, and by pairing those with our stories, we can change the stigma that all bodies must fit in a category and be accepted by society. Authenticity can be used instead as an influential tool to reduce limiting beliefs and reject the diet mentality.

Photo sessions allow for redefining your self-image, building body positivity, boosting self-confidence, and empowering your self-growth. Many individuals have benefited from this therapeutic experience, such as those who have suffered from disordered eating behaviors, post-partum issues, anxiety and depressive disorders. It can also benefit unfortunate victims of sexual abuse, divorce, domestic violence, and other causes of low self-esteem.

It is time for women to find their strength, feel good about themselves and develop a healthy relationship with their bodies. Contact us at hello@alyssaandrew.com where you will find the honesty and passion to move you from comfort zone to self-confidence and self-love.
