It is possible that Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) may be covered by your health insurance plan, and therefore we will gladly provide you with a copy of your super bill to submit for reimbursement.

Healthie is a safe (HIPAA-compliant) way to stay in touch with your RD and make your experience better. Once you download the Healthie app on your mobile phone, you'll have access to several features to help you in making progress toward your goals.
Self-monitoring is one of the most powerful tools to help us make lasting changes. Healthie allows you to track your food and metrics and lets us stay connected in real-time. Here's a quick overview of the capabilities of the Healthie platform, accessible on the mobile app or from your computer.
1. Photo food logging- Snap a photo of your meal and your RD will be able to review and comment in real-time.
2. Metrics tracking- Weigh in at home (first thing in the morning, after emptying your bladder) and record it in the app.
3. Send your RD a message with a safe and secure connection.
4. Schedule, cancel or reschedule appointments on your own (plus, receive appointment reminders).
5. Share and receive documents- Your RD may share some handouts through Healthie along the way. They'll stay safe, in one place, available to view at any time.
6. Video chat with your RD through your mobile app or computer.
Upon scheduling an appointment, your RD will send you a welcome email with a link for filling out your forms. Because we use a HIPAA-compliant site, you will be required to create a password to access the forms. Once you've electronically completed and signed all forms, your RD will be notified and you'll be ready for your upcoming visit. Please see "What should I bring to my initial consultation?" for further details.
For your first appointment, if you have not completed your intake forms electronically, we ask that you please bring a copy of your health history form, food recall, a list of your medications, most recent lab work, and the name and address of the physician that referred you (if applicable). A downloadable copy of these forms can be found under the "forms" link at the bottom of our home page.
During your initial appointment, you can expect to have a full nutritional assessment completed with a nutrition-focused physical exam. This assessment and exam will include evaluation of your anthropometrics, muscle mass, fat stores, swallowing, oral cavity, and fluid status. In addition we will review your health history, any potential food/drug interactions, your personalized goals, and an overview of educational topics/resources. We'll then develop an individualized plan for meeting your goals and for follow-up sessions. Follow-up sessions are then based on your specific plan. You may also have e-mail check-ins and other add-on services to help implement strategies for developing healthy habits.
Package options are based on the needs and goals of each client and are subject to change to best meet those needs. Additional services may be added on to help develop healthy habits and achieve your wellness goals.
